Outlook
Nifty breached the 10,000 mark and finally wrapped up the day by gaining 1.12%, and closed at the levels of 10096.40. Nifty is expected to open flattish with restricted holding on upside with resistance of 10128-10146 and immediate support level of 10014-9990.
Indian shares nudged up on Thursday, after having ended lower in the previous session, with Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. jumping to an over two-month high after the U.S. health regulator closed the inspection of the drug-maker’s Dadra plant.
Bharti Airtel ended up 4.90%. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. rose as much as 3.60% to its highest since July 31. The stock led gains on both indexes and was also the top percentage gainer on the Nifty Pharma index, which was up 1%. The Nifty Realty index was trading up 1.16%, boosted mainly by Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd., which rose as much as 8% after the company said its unit would buy out the remaining stake of Indiabulls Properties Investment Trust and delist the company.

Corporate Events
- Pipe manufacturer. MAN Industries has bagged USD 142.44 million (around INR. 925 Cr.) order from GAIL (India) Ltd. for the supply of line pipes.
- Larsen & Toubro has entered into a definitive agreement with ESAB Holdings Ltd. for selling its entire stake in wholly-owned arm, EWAS Alloys Ltd. for INR. 522 Cr.
- India’s retail inflation remained flat at 3.28% in September, as food prices remained steady, while fuel and housing prices witnessing modest growth during the month.
- Manufacturing sector, which accounts for more than three-fourth of the entire index, continued to growth at 3.10% in August.

- Best Steel Logistics Ltd.: Sept quarter profit after tax of INR. 29.1 million versus a profit of INR. 3.4 million a year ago.
- Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Ltd.: Sept quarter net profit of INR. 26.9 million versus a profit of INR. 33.8 million last year
- FMCG firm, Bajaj Corp reported a 13% decline in standalone net profit at INR. 50.71 Cr. for the second quarter ended September 30 on account of higher expenses.
